Our vision is being realized. For years we pined
after the notion of producing food products with
honest Canadian heritage. And while we have
dabbled in Canadian inspired products over the
last few seasons, our line is starting to gain
momentum and develop a life of its own. As the
local food movement grows, we are proud to
support Canadian suppliers in these two new
installments to the Canadiana series. Look for a
dramatically expanded line next season as we
continue to shine the spotlight on the bounties
and heritage of our great nation.

Muskoka Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce |

We only use cranberries from a marsh in Bala Ontario
to produce a cranberry sauce true to grandmothers’
recipes across South Western Ontario. Simple and pure
with a soft citrus note and no preservatives. We tested
at least a dozen locally available cranberry sauces
including the national favourite and all of them seemed
weak. We honestly believe you won’t find a better
sauce for your holiday turkey. |

Caramelized Onion & Maple Confit |

We use deep brown maple syrup from our favourite
Quebec sugar bush gently folded into golden
caramelized onions to produce this classical French
Canadian condiment. Truly versatile, this condiment
has unlimited applications enjoyed with beef, pork,
chicken, paté and charcuterie plate(see below).
Serve with salmon and fresh trout, in sandwiches
and cheese plates. |
